Knowledge Deficit: Moog Music Claravox

A completely unrepresentative survey shows: hardly anyone knows what a theremin is. We’d like to change that! A theremin is an electronic musical instrument that was invented in 1920 and is played without any physical contact. It sounds a bit like a mix of Tom Waits and gothic rock, with a key role played by a certain Robert Moog. Moog was fascinated by theremins as a teenager, even building his own, which ultimately led to the development of the Moog synthesizer. The theremin you see here is also from Moog.
