Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae LP 780-4: One Last (but Loud) Hurrah

Last call for naturally aspirated twelve cylinders from Lamborghini. Soon the guys in Sant’Agata Bolognese will be concentrating on hybrid powertrains, but as a final gesture they show us what they’re capable of.

After ten years in production, Lamborghini is celebrating the end of an era with a 780-hp 6.5-liter classic of Italian engine design boasting a top speed of 355 km/h, a sprint from zero in 2.8 seconds and around 318 available colors. The Ultimae is Lambo’s roaring monument to itself. The limited-edition car will be available 250 times as a roadster and 350 times as a coupe and was sold out soon after its presentation at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Twelve cylinders will still be available in the future – just as a plug-in hybrid.
