Porsche 718 T: Reduction to the essentials

To mark International Tea Day, we're treating ourselves to a real pick-me-up today. No, certainly not coffee - but a Porsche 718 Cayman T. Without caffeine and unnecessary frills, but with 300 hp. And manual transmission, of course.

Coffee or tea? Sweater or polo shirt? Stones or Beatles? There are really important decisions in a person's life. And this every day anew. If one believes statisticians, then there are even about 20,000. Per day!

Well, one can now of course object that the question of coffee or tea is not of existential importance. More like: A matter of taste. Also, the Stones or Beatles is perhaps not so important for survival now. But the right answer to this question can be very helpful in improving your personal quality of life.

Fortunately, there are people who relieve us of such serious decisions. The Porsche product managers, for example. They found the only correct answer to the question about "Beatles or Stones". And that is: 718 Cayman T. There, for example, they merely removed the Communication Management module and built in a lot of additional, puristic driving fun.

Just as it was created in the 911 T of 1968, T stands for Touring. Translated into Porsche-English, that means: Driving pleasure in its purest form.

Well, one can now of course object that the question of coffee or tea is not of existential importance. More like: A matter of taste.

Of course, you can also express it playfully in numbers: 300 hp power. 380 Nm torque. 275 km/h top speed. And from zero to one hundred in 4.7 seconds - if you take the Sport+ package. However, you don't have to. Just getting in, driving off and have fun is enough.

And the best part is: With the 718 Boxster T, you can experience the whole thing even more puristically - because there is no roof.

Who asked for coffee or tea again? The answer is, of course: „T“.
