Reimagined: Robin Page and Volvo at Autostyle 2021.

Volvo's ambition is leading the way. So, it's only fitting that the Swedish brand is also kicking off the automaker workshops at Autostyle 2021. Design chief Robin Page showcases the Volvo Concept Recharge, which aims to define the brand's electric future.

From the inside out: That's how you can describe the career of Volvo designer Robin Page, who once began his career in interiors and is now Head of Design at the Swedish brand. In a way, he also represents the current development in car design - in which the interior is becoming increasingly important. Fueled by advancing electrification, of course, because it offers the creative minds under the body more freedom in design. With low-slung batteries and fewer distracting elements, which the minimalist Swedes try to avoid anyway. Firstly, of course, in the interior, but also in the exterior.

Robin Page will show how both can be perfectly combined during his presentation tomorrow - using the Volvo Concept Recharge, the group's latest electric study. It combines simple yet striking body shapes with ample space - and also sets itself apart from its electric sister brand Polestar and the rest of the competition. How the team went about it, what the first drafts of the vehicle looked like and why the car is both new and yet typically Volvo, can all be found out tomorrow in the livestream. It is also possible and expressly requested by Robin Page to ask him and his team specific questions.

The latter is made possible by the well-known Autostyle format: Like last year, the 18th edition, supported by ramp, will again take place digitally - allowing viewers from all over the world to participate after registering. The series of lectures kicked off on October 7 - with the presentation of the key speakers of the lecture series. After starting with the Italian luxury brand, it is now Volvo's turn - represented by chief designer Robin Page. The rest of the event schedule is as follows:

Outfit of the day: »What have you got?«

Let's talk about lasting effects. Marlon Brando achieved this not only with the sentence above in the film "The Wild One" - it was Brando's dry answer to the question of what he was rebelling against - but also with his look.

Reeves Reloaded

Keanu Reeves has established a reputation as an action star and in recent years has gained an almost cult-like following for his genuine likeability. Oddly enough, it is precisely this combination that has allowed the fifty-seven-year-old actor to maintain something that can’t be faked: coolness.

Of quaking and living: Kurt Molzer rides the '69 Charger R/T

Since Kurt started writing for ramp again and driving these insane, up to 1,000 horsepower supercars, he's been losing more and more touch with and interest in normal life - according to himself. What helps? Hopefully this completely normal madness behind the wheel of a 1969 Dodge Charger.

The fabric of dreams: Alcantara at Autostyle 2021

Beautiful, lightweight and often found in fast cars: that's Alcantara. You could also say: The somewhat different fabric. The microfiber multi-talent is not only suitable for motorsports, but also has fashion and astronomical potential - as Filippo Taiani shows us at Autostyle 2021.
