(Un)seen and being seen: Porsche at SXSW
Design? Mastered in Zuffenhausen. From the southwest? That’s where they're from. And they've always found creative solutions at Porsche. It's only logical that the sports car manufacturer is now also a guest at the »South by Southwest« creative conference & trade fair, which starts today. And, appropriately enough, it is also opening the sketchpad of its own design department headed by Michael Mauer. Under the motto »A Creator's Mind,« Porsche is presenting itself and its »Unseen« studies in a space that is meant to resemble an oversized desk and is located in the direct vicinity of the SXSW conference center (4th Street).
In addition to its own experts and studies, Zuffenhausen also aims to provide a stage for talents from the music, film, tech and gaming industries to present their own visions and projects. Interested parties are also invited to exchange ideas with designers, engineers and digital experts from the brand. The best conditions, therefore, to perhaps develop the vision of the next gamechanger in the field of sustainable sports cars directly on site.
»SXSW« is dedicated to helping creative people achieve their goals and was founded in Austin (Texas, USA) in 1987. It is best known for its conference and festivals, where technology, film, music, education and culture become one. The annual event in March is considered an absolute hotspot for professionals and offers sessions, exhibitions, as well as a variety of networking opportunities.
